Why do I suffer?

I often think exactly the same. There is probably no generally valid answer. I always found it helpful to set myself a goal, something which is beyond my daily routine and which requires some time and effort to accomplish. I mean things like building something (doesn't necessarily have to be a house), laying out a garden, learning a language, writing a book, whatever. The little steps on the way to the accomplishment, those moments when you realize that you get closer to your goal, they make life worth living.
